Race 26 – Position 15
Holdsworth opened Saturday at the Surfers Paradise Street Circuit finishing P13 in Qualifying, narrowly missing the Top Ten Shootout. Bright began the Race for the team but struggled with pace on a full tank of fuel, dropping to P16. A Red Flag fell on Lap 23 and Bright was forced into a double stack and dropped to P22. Bright climbed up to P19 before swapping with Holdsworth, who was able to climb into P16 in his final stint, eventually finishing P15 after taking over Le Brocq on the final lap.

“WE DIDN’T HAVE THE PACE IN THE RACE THAT WE HAD HOPED FOR, CERTAIN SECTORS WERE BETTER THAN OTHERS BUT AS THE FUEL LOWERED THEY GOT BETTER. WILL HAVE ANOTHER GO TOMORROW.”

Race 27 – Position -Race Cancelled-

Holdsworth qualified P12 in Sunday’s morning session narrowly missing the Top Ten Shootout with kerb strikes affecting the whole field in the final laps. The race was dry until Lap 29, suspended under torrential rain and restarted for 5 laps before been suspended again as the conditions further deteriorated and ultimately cancelled. The Race was declared a non-event with no points to be awarded.
JASON BRIGHT
“THE CAR WAS BETTER TODAY IN THE RACE, WE HAD REASONABLE PACE THIS WEEKEND AND IT LOOKS LIKE WE WOULD HAVE FINISHED 7TH WHICH WAS GOOD, IT’S A SHAME IT DIDN’T GET CLASSIFIED. I THINK IT WAS AS GOOD ROUND FOR THE TEAM AND I THINK WE MADE VERY GOOD PROGRESS AND HAD A COMPETITIVE CAR THAT WAS AROUND THE TOP TEN.”
